Sally Karam is a Gemini nominated producer who has just completed production on the all-new breakthrough CGI series, Alien Mysteries, a shockingly imaginative original Canadian series using new state-of-the-art CGI and green screen techniques for Discovery Channel Canada.
Alien Mysteries has been named ‘one of the creative wonders of the season’ by veteran TV critic James Bawden. Sally has also produced three seasons of CTV’s Discovery Network’s flagship, Gemini award winning docu-drama series, Forensic Factor. An international hit, Forensic Factor is considered the best crime series of its genre by The Globe and Mail. Sally has made a reputation across the film and television business as an innovative producer who achieves high quality drama for low-budget dollars. A master at delivering exceptional episodes on time and on budget, Sally surrounds herself with the industry’s best, always drawing key talent to her projects.
Sally is a graduate of Queen’s University where she studied English Literature and she majored in Creative Writing at Ryerson University’s Radio & Television Arts Program. Sally has written scripts for History Channel’s breakout series, Outlaw Bikers, Discovery Channel Canada’s Forensic Factor and the new hit series Up In Arms for Discovery Channel US. She is experienced in 3D filmmaking, applying a 3D approach to factual storytelling in BMX, a 3D Pilot project for Discovery Channel Canada. Sally also has over 10 years of documentary film directing under her belt.
Sally recently formed her own production company, SIXTH AVENUE ENTERPRISES LTD. to produce high quality dramas for film and television. She and writer/director Maxime Desmons are recipients of Telefilm’s first-ever Micro-Budget Feature Film Program. Their feature film WHAT WE HAVE with Executive Producer Damon D’Oliveira is currently in production. Sally also has two feature films in development with feature film director Laurie Lynd; Truck Stop with Executive Producer Damon D’Oliveira and The English Child with executive producer Bill Marks.

As one of Canada’s foremost independent producers, DAMON D’OLIVEIRA has been responsible for bringing to screen some of Canada’s most innovative feature films – RUDE, LOVE COME DOWN, “H” and LIE WITH ME. His films have been distributed internationally and have been selected for festivals around the world including Cannes, Berlin, Toronto, Sundance, and Rotterdam. D’Oliveira’s sexually-charged LIE WITH ME (Toronto, Pusan 2005, Berlin 2006) was distributed internationally through THINKFilm. His most recent feature, POOR BOY’S GAME, has sold internationally since its 2007 Berlinale debut. Currently Damon is acting as the executive producer on the coming-of-age story WHAT WE HAVE (Fr. CE QU’ON A) and producing the miniseries adaptation of the best-selling and award-winning novel THE BOOK OF NEGROES for the CBC and BET.
